This mysterious and ghostly phenomenon occurs at Racetrack Playa, loss of life Valley which is a fitting place! The stones travel long distances without any human or animal assist! It appears as though they just lift themselves up and scoot alongside, making a trail or groove in the rock surface as they travel.
